Bring your ideas to the table on the biggest issues facing the San Diego region between now and 2050 — issues like the economy, the environment, transportation, public health, and social equity.
SANDAG is holding a series of workshops to get community input on land use, transportation, housing, healthy environment, public health, economic prosperity, public facilities, energy, climate change, and borders.
The workshop that will be held in the South Bay will be on June 6th from 6:00-8:00pm. Food will be provided.

| As of January 2013, CVCC is celebrating it's twenty years anniversary every month of this year! There are fun activities planned for CVCC partners and all five of our Family Resource Centers will be hosting an Open House in the order they were opened. The first open house was held at Beacon FRC on February 28th from 12:00-2:00pm. The next open house will be at New Directions Family Resource Center on April 4th from 3:00-5:00pm in collaboration with Family Health Center grand opening of the Rice Family Health Clinic. SAN YSIDRO HEALTH CENTER INVITES YOU!
San Ysidro Health Center's Adult Day Health Center is launching a community education campaign to raise awareness about its services offered to frail seniors, adults with disabilities and their caregivers.
SAVE THE DATES
Tuesday, Oct. 23rd, 2012- “Ask the Doctor” Night w/ SYHC's Dr. Galdamez (for caregivers-conducted in Spanish)
Thursday, November 15th, 2012- Open House - San Ysidro Adult Day Health Center (all are welcome)
Tuesday, Nov. 20th, 2012-1st Annual Caregiver Appreciation Event (for caregivers)
All events are FREE and will take place at the Center located at:
3364 Beyer Blvd, San Ysidro, CA 92173
The ADHC provides*:
free transportation for the care recipient to and from the center,
4 hours of supervised care in a safe environment,
breakfast and lunch,
health monitoring and care,
personal assistance with eating, medication, bathing, etc.
social activities,
art, music and ZUMBA!
*Payment Options: Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans for eligible individuals or sliding fee scale

NAMI San Diego is offering a FREE education course entitled Peer to Peer. Peer to Peer is open to any individual living with a serious mental illness who is interested in establishing their wellness and recovery. Each class is two hours in length and continues for ten consecutive weeks. The course is taught by two trained “mentors” who are themselves experienced at living well with mental illness.
